This is was going through their usually research of looking for a photographer. Which I totally agree with, do you research and look into the work, but also get to know the person. So when we got a chance to talk over the phone, not only did we hit it off, I get the privilege of photographing their engagement shoot and their wedding. It was really cool that she mentioned the Art Institute of Chicago. We did hit an obstacle though. The intention was to photograph not only at the museum, but also the South Garden. One thing you can’t prepare for is possible events taking place, such as protests. At the time protests took place which got out of hand, so much that for security purposes, they had to close off the garden. Disappointing of course, but not a complete loss. The beauty of Chicago is the variety of location you get, especially down town. It was easy enough to walk over to the Lurie garden, which is another go to spot for me as a wedding photographer. It was great without any problems, I loved their personality through out the whole shoot. I can’t wait for their wedding next year.
